Story
This rice variety gets its name from its sticky nature. In Tamil pisin means “Pasai” which is used for sticking different material.
Special Features
It helps to reduce hip pain and usually young girls are fed with this rice variety after attaining puberty. This helps to get rid of hip pain associated with menstruation. It can also be given for a pain free delivery. The porridge has very good taste. It is highly suitable for making Dosa and flattend rice. This variety is a drought resistant crop.
Season
It is normally cultivated during Samba (between July 15th to January 14th).
