This variety has black dots on the tops of the grains. It is highly suitable for preparation of South Indian Meals.
It is normally cultivated during Navarai and Kuruvai. (December 15th to March 14th and June 1st to August 31st )
Sandy clay and Clayey soil are preferred for cultivating this variety
It grows upto a height of 131 cms.
Colour and Quality
The colour of the rice is light brown and it has moderate rice quality.
